Objective

Hello, my name is Max Chow-Gillette. I am a recent graduate from Tufts University, with a B.A. in History and Comparative Politics. 

My most recent position was as the Art&Seek Intern at KERA in Dallas, one of the largest NPR stations in the country. There, I honed my skills working the arts beat in a fast-paced newsroom, regularly creating high-quality content for release on strict deadlines. Before that, I worked as the Tufts Athletics Communications Assistant, regularly writing recaps of games to be published within 30 minutes of each event’s conclusion. Additionally, I have written and edited for the Tufts University music journal, Melisma.

I am a deeply energized young person hoping to break out into the journalism industry. I am passionate about music, film, sports, and radio, and I hope to contribute to your team.

- Fluency in newsroom content management systems and software (Burli, Grove) as well as Office suite programs, web design proficiency (Squarespace, Wordpress)

- Strength and comfort in copy and audio editing, recording software (Adobe Audition, Audacity)

- Ability to craft compelling and interesting audio and written stories on varying topics, meet quick deadlines, learn on the fly, work calmly and effectively under pressure, comfort in AP style
