Job Description
Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts invites applications for a full-time non tenure track position as an an Instructor or Artistic Assistant Professor of Broadcast Journalism, effective August 2025.
Dodge College seeks a seasoned broadcast journalist to enrich our faculty. The ideal candidate will bring professional experience, academic knowledge, and a passion for nurturing the next generation of broadcast journalists.
Key Responsibilities- The successful candidate will teach four courses in both the fall and spring semesters, which could include an introductory class for freshmen, and a capstone class of juniors and seniors that produces a weekly newscast seen live on local cable, as well as other classes.
- The successful candidate will also serve as faculty advisor to undergraduate students within the Broadcast Journalism and Documentary major,
- Serve on university and Dodge College committees and other projects as assigned
- Maintain currency in the industry
