Job Description

A reporter for Legal Sports Report, a Catena Media North America publication, reports on news related to the sports betting, fantasy sports, and online gaming industries. This is a full-time role (35-40 hours per week) where the volume and type of content are determined by the department. 

While some of the content will be assigned by the editor in chief, the lead writer will also be expected to generate content ideas regularly.

Job duties and responsibilities for news and sports/casino content:

• Generate and pitch story ideas and resources that would be useful to readers interested in retail and online gaming or a broader industry audience.
• Be available for industry interviews and press appearances on the gambling/sports landscape across North America.
• Work with editors and content managers to support the content strategy with stories related to the business of the industry in relevant markets.
• Adhere to the site style guide, follow SEO best practices and other guidance as provided by the editor in chief or content manager.
• Be receptive and use feedback to improve performance and increase proficiency.
• Off-hour or weekend work may be required.
• Other content duties as assigned by the editor in chief or content manager.
