The University of Michigan News office, which is comprised of many former journalists, serves as the central media relations office at the University of Michigan that promotes research, major events, major announcements, faculty expertise, and programs to enhance the university’s reputation around the world.

Michigan News is a main source of content creation on campus and uses multiple methods and platforms for storytelling including news release distribution, social media engagement, multimedia production and website presence. The team works with all schools and colleges on campus to promote experts on relevant topics of the day and offers a satellite uplink studio for interviews by broadcast media networks.

The office supports the messaging and storytelling of the university’s top priorities and initiatives.
