Role context and overview
This person manages projects from kick-off to delivery on time, on budget, and on brief and is everyone’s go to person for the project. Clients and internal team members rely on you for everything they need to know about a project: what to expect, what to do next, and where they need to be.
The Director level Programme Manager for data scope of work is responsible for initiation, implementation and leading strategic and tactical data vision and will be responsible for leading the data vision, working closely with the data leadership teams from both the agency and the exciting client.
You will ensure project scope is defined, create and manage the project plan, and provide direction to all members of the project team. You will be ultimately responsible for planning and coordinating activities of individual projects and overall programmes in complex client stakeholder environments to ensure that the goals are accomplished and client needs are met.
You will work closely with the Client Lead for the data scope of work ensuring that all other tactical and strategic projects are aligned to the data vision.
Qualifications and Experience:
Extensive experience managing projects for blue-chip firms/clients, including projects in a web/digital consulting environment
Experience in managing data led marketing, creative or technology projects
Experience developing project plans using MS Project, PRINCE 2 and/or Agile project methodologies.
Evidence of management of project teams of 15-20 people or more to successful conclusion
Passion for data and communications and top class communication and presentation skills
Deep industry knowledge (e.g. Financial Services) as well as functional specialism in project role, such as Software Engineering, Business Analysis, Information Architecture
Proven client management abilities to negotiate scope and finances
Ability to run client workshops of up to 10 people on multiple subject areas
Can articulate Project Management methodology – processes, practices, controls, team management, project delivery phases
Ability to turn requirements into a viable project plan and marshal resources required to deliver
Ability to work independently with little direction and tight deadlines and manage 3rd parties and stakeholders
Ability to put administrative structure and organisation in place on new or existing projects
Ability to motivate others and provide a positive project environment
